Would you like to support the health and wellbeing needs of young people in the Bathurst community?
We are seeking an individual who is passionate about youth mental health to work in our innovative headspace Bathurst centre.
You will be responsible for developing and coordinating community awareness activities and events which decrease mental health stigma and increase help seeking behaviours. You will assist in the delivery of therapeutic and social groups, as well as develop strategies to ensure a youth led focus within the organisation.
You will also work closely with the Centre Manger on events and initiatives to raise funds for the organisation.

MST-CAN Therapist

MST-CAN is an evidence-based program designed to treat youth ages 6 to 17 and their families who have come to the attention of Child Protective Services due to physical abuse and/or neglect.

MST-CAN works with the entire family in an effort to keep children with their families and help the family resolve clinical and practical concerns so that children can be safe and stay in the family home.

As an MST-CAN Therapist your duties will include assessment, treatment, documentation and stakeholder collaboration.

This role requires a minimum Masters qualification in clinical/counselling Psychology. Consideration may be given to experienced Registered Psychologists who demonstrate a very high degree of learning and experience in relevant areas of clinical practice.

You will receive extensive training in Child and Adult trauma therapy, Adolescent and Adult Substance use treatment, and other MST-CAN components.
