headspace Bathurst creating mural support

Tomorrow headspace Bathurst in conjunction with their lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, intersex, questioning and asexual (LGBTIQA+) social group, SPECTRUM, will encourage Bathurst and surrounding communities to stand with them against discrimination in support of our LGBTIQA+ friends, colleagues, family and community members.

The International Day against Homophobia, Biphobia, Intersexism and Transphobia (IDAHOBIT), is an important day to headspace Bathurst as it is a great time to publically support and praise the LGBTIQA+ community and ensure that they know they are valued.

“Every year we try to do something really visual for IDAHOBIT and now that we are in our new building, we’ve decided to create something permanent. Members of SPECTRUM have designed a mural for the building as a celebration of our rainbow community,” comments Karen Golland, Community and Youth Engagement Coordinator at headspace Bathurst.
