💼 What You’ll Be Doing

  • One-on-one support for clients on their mental health recovery journey
  • Coordinating services and navigating mental health systems
  • Setting person-centred, recovery-focused goals
  • Travelling to remote communities to deliver essential outreach services
  • Helping individuals build personal capacity and stability
  • Thriving in a diverse, fast-paced environment

What You’ll Need to Succeed

We’re looking for someone who brings both expertise and heart to the role. To thrive as a Mental Health Recovery Coach, you’ll need:

  • A Certificate IV in Community Services, Mental Health, or a similar relevant qualification
  • Experience working with vulnerable people, with a genuine commitment to supporting their wellbeing
  • A strong understanding of the Recovery Model of Care, and how to apply it in real-world settings
  • Knowledge of local mental health and community service providers, and how to connect clients with the right support
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build trust and rapport
  • A problem-solving mindset and a proactive, can-do attitude
  • The ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships across diverse teams and communities
  • Sound computer skills and a willingness to learn new systems and software
  • A current Australian driver’s licence and the flexibility to travel as needed for outreach and client support
