Senior Program Support Officer – Wagga Wagga, NSW (Wiradjuri Country)

 We are seeking an experienced and highly organised Administrator to step into the role of Senior Program Support Officer based in Wagga Wagga, NSW (Wiradjuri Country). In this pivotal role, you will lead and coordinate the intake and assessment processes for our Care Finder team. You will deliver high‑quality administrative support, strengthen stakeholder relationships, and ensure our programs achieve their objectives and deliver exceptional outcomes.


Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee Care Finder intake and administrative functions to ensure high‑quality, responsive, integrated, and professional support.
  • Conduct ongoing reviews of program systems and procedures to enhance administrative efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Prepare reports—Data, MDS, Service Demand, and others—as required for internal and external stakeholders, in collaboration with the Portfolio Manager.
  • Maintain regular communication with relevant stakeholders to support the effective functioning of the Care Finder Program.
  • Undertake intake, data entry, and administrative processes to support service delivery and ensure compliance with contractual and organisational requirements.
  • Deliver professional and culturally safe customer service that is welcoming and attentive to the needs of older persons and their support networks.
  • Translate complex administrative information into clear, accessible language to support clients in making informed decisions.
  • Administer the Care Finder Program’s intake and referral system—alongside the Portfolio Manager—including triage, initial assessment, and coordination of referrals.
  • Facilitate initial screening assessments to determine client needs and direct individuals to appropriate services and supports.
  • Assist clients in accessing and registering with My Aged Care when required.

What We’re Looking For

 

  • Experience and / or ability to effectively engage and undertake preliminary needs assessment for people seeking assistance.
  • Experience providing exceptional intake and administrative support
  • Demonstrated high standard of interpersonal and communication skills and ability to establish and maintain effective workplace relationships with a diverse range of professionals.
  • High level of attention to detail, problem-solving, time management and organisational skills.
  • Strong skills in document management and ability to use client management software systems
  • Advanced computer skills and proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office suite (particularly MS word and excel) and ability to adapt to new software applications.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team in a fast paced and changing environment.
