We’re on the lookout for a dynamic First Nation person to join our crew in Bourke, NSW  located on Ngemba Country. This permanent, full-time gig (75 hours a fortnight) is all about making a difference!

As an Aboriginal Youth Wellbeing Worker, you’ll be the heartbeat of your community, doing things like:

  • Promoting help-seeking vibes and boosting mental health smarts for everyone around you
  • Offering friendly and culturally informed service navigation and referrals for young people aged 12-25
  • Energising the community with health promotion activities that uplift physical, economic, social, and emotional wellbeing

What experience do I need?

  • Identity: Identify as Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander (this is a genuine occupational requirement for the role).
  • Qualifications: Hold a vocational qualification in Mental Health, Primary Health, Community Services, or a related field.
  • Skills: Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills, demonstrating integrity and initiative.
  • Communication: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, along with effective time management.
  • Teamwork: Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as a productive team member.
  • Technical Proficiency: Proficient in using the Microsoft Office Suite and good computer skills.
  • Driver’s License: A valid Australian Driver’s License and a willingness to travel for work purposes.
