Youth CALD Project Officer – headspace Lithgow
Part-time | Fixed Term until 30 June 2026
Are you passionate about creating safe and inclusive spaces for young people? We have an exciting opportunity for a Youth CALD Project Officer to join our team at headspace Lithgow (Wiradjuri Country).
In this role, you’ll strengthen connections between headspace Lithgow and the local Culturally and Linguistically Diverse (CALD) community. You’ll lead a needs assessment to enhance cultural safety, improve engagement with CALD young people, and help shape culturally responsive programs and services.
What You’ll Do
- Collaborate with the Centre Manager and headspace Lithgow team to embed culturally informed approaches into service planning and delivery.
- Lead the development of a CALD community needs assessment tailored to the Lithgow region.
- Create and implement a CALD Action Plan to ensure services meet the cultural expectations of young CALD people.
- Co-design and deliver engagement activities, workshops, and group programs in partnership with local services.

What We’re Looking For
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to build strong, sustainable relationships with young people and community stakeholders.
- Experience engaging with CALD communities, families, schools, and local organisations.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills with integrity and initiative.
- Great organisational and time management skills to manage priorities and meet deadlines.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Teams, Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
- A valid Australian Driver’s Licence and willingness to travel.
