About the Role
As the Senior Employee Relations Advisor, you will play a pivotal role in promoting best practice in employee relations and providing expert advice to managers and employees across the organisation. This position ensures Marathon Health meets its legislative, regulatory, and industrial obligations while fostering a positive and inclusive workplace culture.
Key Responsibilities
· Manage complex & diverse employee matters, Provide expert advice on HR functions, including workforce planning, employee engagement, diversity, recruitment, and retention.
· Lead the delivery of high-quality HR services, driving both strategic and operational initiatives.
· Coach and mentor managers on HR and employee relations matters to build capability.
· Coordinate and review workers’ compensation claims and recovery-at-work plans.
· Monitor legislative changes and ensure compliance with employment-related laws (e.g., Fair Work Act, WGEA).
· Promote Marathon Health’s mission, vision, and values throughout the organisation.
What We’re Looking For
· Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources or a related discipline.
· Significant experience in HR management and employee relations (7–10+ years).
· Strong knowledge of employee relations legislation and handling complex matters.
· High-level analytical and problem-solving skills with sound judgement.
· Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build strong relationships.
· Experience in health care or not-for-profit organisations is desirable
