headspace provides early intervention services to young people aged 12–25 years, supporting their mental health, physical health, alcohol and other drug needs, and work and study goals. We take a youth‑centred, inclusive and evidence‑informed approach to care.
We are seeking an experienced Clinical Team Lead to provide strong clinical leadership and oversight at headspace Orange, supporting a multidisciplinary team to deliver high‑quality, safe and responsive services to young people and their families.

About the Role
As the Clinical Team Lead, you will play a pivotal role in coordinating and delivering clinical services while providing leadership, guidance and professional support to the headspace Orange team.
Key responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
- Providing clinical leadership, supervision and mentoring to clinical staff
- Oversight of clinical service delivery, including caseload and clinical reviews
- Actively managing referrals, demand and wait times to ensure timely access to care
- Ensuring developmentally appropriate and culturally safe care for all young people
- Promoting and embedding best practice approaches, including Family Inclusive Practice and Evidence‑Informed Practice
- Acting as the primary point for clinical escalation, working closely with Clinical Leads to ensure concerns are managed safely and effectively
- Managing clinical resources and rosters to balance caseloads and meet service demand
- Maintaining a small clinical caseload, providing assessments, interventions and ongoing monitoring
- Conducting clinical audits and ensuring accurate reporting in line with quality and risk policies
About You
To be successful in this role, you will hold one of the following qualifications:
- Psychologist – Full and current registration with AHPRA
OR - Social Worker – Approved qualification (Bachelor or Master of Social Work), plus:
- Additional mental health‑specific training or mental health endorsement
- Membership with the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW)
You will also bring:
- Extensive experience delivering holistic mental health care to young people and families
- Demonstrated experience leading multidisciplinary teams, including clinical and operational supervision
- A strong understanding of social and emotional wellbeing (SEWB) and culturally responsive care for First Nations young people
- A collaborative leadership style with a commitment to quality improvement and safe practice
