About the Role

As a Mental Health Clinician with headspace Queanbeyan, you will:

  • Undertake comprehensive psychosocial assessments, including exploration of presenting issues, client history, risk, protective factors, and contributing influences
  • Work collaboratively with young people to develop person-centred, feedback-informed case formulations and treatment plans
  • Deliver evidence-based therapeutic interventions to young people experiencing mental ill-health
  • Actively engage in Evidence‑Informed Practice and Family Inclusive Practice
  • Apply Alcohol and Other Drug screening, harm reduction, psychoeducation, and brief interventions where required

Essential Qualifications

To be eligible, you must meet the following:

  • Psychologist with full and current AHPRA registration
  • Social Worker with an approved Bachelor/Master of Social Work and
    • Mental health specific training or at least 2 years’ mental health experience
    • Eligibility for or membership with AASW
  • Occupational Therapist with full AHPRA registration and
    • Additional mental health training or mental health endorsement
  • Division 1 Mental Health Nurse with relevant experience and/or postgraduate qualifications in mental health
