The aim of the Rural Health Outreach Funds (RHOF) program is to improve access of regional, rural and remote communities to medical specialist services by supporting medical specialists to provide outreach medical services. The specialists also support local GPs in the ongoing care of patients.
RHOF is funded by the Commonwealth Government and the Rural Doctors Network (RDN) is responsible for the 'private' sector component of RHOF in NSW. Marathon Health have a funding agreement with the RDN to manage the RHOF program.
