Wagga After Hours GP Clinic

The Wagga After Hours GP Clinic operates on Saturdays, Sundays and most Public Holidays. The service also has an on-call GP for urgent home visits to residential aged care facilities.

After Hours GP Clinic

The Clinic hours of operation are as follows:

  • 6pm-9pm Saturdays and
  • 9am-1pm and 5pm-9pm Sundays and Public Holidays

Appointments

GP consultations are available by appointment only by calling 02 6931 0900. The phone line opens 30 minutes before the Clinic’s scheduled opening times.

Urgent on-call GP for residential aged care facilities

This service is available as follows:

  • 6pm-8am (next day) from Monday to Friday
  • 30pm Saturdays to 8am Sundays
  • 8am-8am (next day) on Sundays and Public Holidays

Appointments

Urgent on-call GP consults are by appointment only by calling 02 6931 0900. The phone line opens 30 minutes before the Clinic’s scheduled opening times.


Fees

Both services are charged as follows:

  • Standard consultation – $92
  • Long consultation – $112
  • Private telehealth appointment – $50.00 (Medicare rebate cannot be claimed)

Note, private telehealth appointments are offered to patients experiencing respiratory symptoms who do not fit the Medicare or DVA billing criteria.

The Wagga After Hours GP Clinic is free for children under 16, concession card holders, tertiary students and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples under Medicare. Concession card or tertiary card holders must present their card at the time of consultation.


This service is supported by funding from firsthealth Limited and Murrumbidgee Primary Health Network through the Australian Government’s PHN program.
