About the training
This training aims to provide parents with tools to better understand their child’s emotional needs and behaviours, fostering a more secure attachment. Through reflective discussions and practical strategies discussed in a workshop setting, participants learn how to support their child’s ability to manage emotions, build self-esteem, and develop healthy relationships. The training emphasises creating a nurturing environment where children feel safe to explore and grow.
Who is this training for?
This training is aimed at parents of young children up to six (6) years of age. Childcare arrangements are necessary to ensure focused participation, and participants must be willing to engage in reflective discussions in a group or workshop environment.
How do I access Circle of Security Parenting© Training?
The workshops will be available online and face to face in Dubbo and will be run as needed dependent on demand. Get in touch to register your interest in participating.
It will be delivered over eight weeks, with one 90-minute workshop per week which will take place during business hours.
- The cost for face to face training is $595 +GST per person with a reduced rate of $500 +GST for a partner. Maximum group size is 6-10 people
- The cost for online training is $650 +GST per person with a reduced rate of $575 +GST for a partner. Maximum group size is 4-6 people.
A certificate of attendance will be provided upon completion.

About the trainer
Tim Carr, Training and Engagement Officer, Marathon Health, has more than 15 years of experience in the mental health and wellbeing industry, with qualifications in both direct care, and management in community and sub-acute mental health settings.
Tim has experience with clients who have severe and enduring mental health concerns and associated behaviour.
